John called me a few weeks ago and asked me to look into putting Dusty into a kennel for vacation. I asked him, "why, I thought we were going to take him with us?" To which he plainly replied, " They don't let you take pets to Disneyland." :-)
We decided not to tell the girls. They made lots of guesses about their "surprise vacation" along the way, but as we pulled up to The Grand Californian Hotel in Downtown Disney - they were bouncing up and down!! It was so fun to see the smile on John's face as the girls got more and more excited, realizing where they were going on their surprise vacation.
Here are the princesses, sporting a front row seat on the monorail on the way to Breakfast with Minnie Mouse. Jana could hardly wait to show off her first dress up!!!
Although by the time the characters started visiting, Jana was not so sure about the whole thing. Seen here, she is clutching Lily for dear life as the sweet big sister comforts and protects her baby sis. It was funny and sweet - a great moment for Mommy.
I love Emma's "strike a pose" moment in this one!! Daddy wasn't thrilled though ;-)
Thank you Daddy for the very best surprise vacation ever!!! Your princesses will never forget it!!
