We took our first REAL vacation since our Honeymoon! This year we joined my cousin Bruce Dyksen and his family, the Osterdays, and my cousin Craig Dyksen and headed down to the Outer Banks, NC! Corolla to be exact. Our little house was called Sun n Fun and that was excactly what we got! Our Army niece Shelby joined us for some fun with family and friends. We had an amazing time and can't wait for our next OBX adventure. Emma and Lily LOVED the beach. Lily didn't really care for the ocean too well, but as per usual, Emma a.k.a. "the daredevil" loved jumping the waves and even tried out my cousin Alyssa's surfboard! We spent our mornings at the beach and our afternoons at the pool. What a gift to have spent this amazing time with each other and with family and friends who mean so much. My Uncle and his family rented a house during the same week, just down the block from us too. It made me smile to see him playing with my girls, knowing that he's a special extention of my mom! (He's my mom's youngest brother!) John and Shelby had a chance to go jet skiing and Emma, John and Shelby even tried their luck at Crabbing, even though they didn't get to catch any. We flew a kite on the beach and jumped in the ocean with our clothes on. We ate crabs, which is my favorite -Shelby tried them for the first time and loved them! We learned how to play Scat (Shelby's fav card game) and ladder ball on the beach. It was a perfect week and we couldn't have asked for more. WOW! You have been busy! I loved all the pictures your girls are adorable (but hey what can you expect right?) Looks like you had tons of fun and must be exhausted. My eyes teared up a bit at the part about your Grandpa moving. I had some very fond memories there too!

Loved getting caught up to date on the Moris family summer adventures. I got tired just reading about all that you have seen and done with three weeks of summer left to go. Looking at the OBX pictures got me all excited for our trip this Saturday-can hardly wait for a week of fabulous family fun. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at OBX as much as we always to.
