NJ was a blast this year - the only thing missing was John, as he was in Kansas
TDY (that's Army for a business trip). We headed out the end of June to celebrate Robyn's 30
th birthday and completion of Grad school at Columbia - we are VERY proud of our Auntie!!!! Emma and Lily adore her and every minute spent with Auntie Robyn is always fun and exciting.

While in NJ, we had lots of fun with our Aunts and Uncles and spending some time with our soon-to-be "new" Aunt Jessica. Russ and Jess will be married sometime next summer!! Emma enjoys quiet time blowing bubbles and reading with Aunt Jessica!

A very special part of our NJ trip was spending time at Great Grandma
Unrath's house. When I was little, we spent countless hours playing here, reading, dancing and making crafts of every kind. My little girls had the great honor of getting to sit on my Gram's lap and have a story read to them - it was precious! We also were surprised to learn that during our trip my cousin Glenn was in from Michigan and we spent time with him also. Above is a picture we tried to recreate of a Christmas picture taken when we were little every year. We don't really fit as well as we used to and Rob and Jon are missing!
LOL - that was funny and Gram got a big kick out of it.

Great Grandpa Dyksen is all moved into his cool new apartment and we also got a chance to spend sometime with him too. He is a kidder and loved to call us all "Oscar" when we were kids....he tried that with Emma and she got a kick out of it saying, "I'm not Oscar, silly, I'm Emma!" We said goodbye to Gram and Grampa Dyksen's house for the last time but took with us a few momentos to treasure and more beautiful memories then I can possibly hold in my heart. The only hard part of this visit was missing Gram - but, God is good!! and we know, it'll be but a flash in time until we see her and mom again.

The last fun part of our trip was our trip to the Statue of Liberty! Growing up in NJ, I've been there many times, but it was much
more fun taking my girls. Dad, Auntie Robyn and Auntie Lauren came along and we ended up with a history lesson and foam crowns for everyone!!

And, of course, no visit would be complete without the puppies, Charlie and Rascal,
Sabrett and Luci(not pictured).
PopPop Unrath's house is always filled with excitement and we look forward to our next fun filled visit!
