As our family moves from place to place, God always blesses us with special people that become our "home away from home". With our time in Oz coming to an end, we want to soak up as much time with our Aussie mates as we can. This past week, our Aussie BFF's came over for a hands on morning tea. Wendy taught us how to make ANZAC Biscuits - Bikkies for short. (ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corp). ANZAC Biscuits are well known because they were given to the soliders to take care of them and give them energy on the battlefield. Our little Army family had lots of fun making them and even more fun eating them. Thank you Wendy, El and Monnie, for a beautiful morning tea, a fun hands on activity, a yummy treat and blessing us with your warm friendship - we love you!! (oh, and thanks to Phillo for sharing his day off with us!!)
I am blessed to know that little girls all over the world have teas to celebrate special frindships. I still have fond memories from my Happy Tea with three very special little girls. Lots of love-Nana Milne
