Adventures with PopPop

Once again, we had the great pleasure of having my Dad for a visit! We love when he comes and the kids always look forward to the great adventures we have together. Dad loves to be outside, loves to see the new birds that are flying around and most of all...LOVES to hang out with his granddaughters! They really love him too and special memories are made everytime he comes.

Dad has made a tradition of coming out during Halloween! For most all other special days, he has to work so it's really fun for him to be a part of a fun day with us! This year he was able to escort Dorothy, Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West!! Emma thought that he could pass as the Scarecrow because of his flannel shirt. :-)

This year, we took PopPop on a fun adventure to the Hueco Tanks! Pop Pop and the girls had lots of fun bird watching, looking at new plants and flowers and exploring ancient Indian pictographs. I love listening to the conversations the girls have with my Dad - they always learn something new!

My Dad is really great! What I love about having my Dad around with my kids is that it reminds me what it was like when I was a kid. He always made us feel special, listened well, answered all of our questions and spent lots of time having adventures with us. I have a great Dad - my only complaint is that he never stays long enough! Thanks for coming Pop Pop - can't wait to see you again!!
