New Home, New Blog Title!

The thought behind our new blog title is that we are on a great journey as a family to see what missions that God and the Army have in store for us!! We love our journey and feel blessed that you love to read and follow along with us too!!!

Well, we're home - again! El Paso isn't quite how I had imagined it: It's even better!!! It's not quite Texas...as the picture here will imply :-) in fact, the exit to the local Zoo is the same exit to take to get to Juarez, so I'll have to make sure I have plenty of coffee the morning we take that adventure.Yes, it's quite dusty and dry (I'll be using my vacuum and dust rags a lot more often here), but the Franklin mountains will be the backdrop for our beautiful new home. Having our Army Family here has made our transition all but a piece of cake and, we have once again been blessed with a super fantastic new home, right on post here at Fort Bliss!! We have met many neighbors as the neighborhood playground is literally right behind our backyard. Many of the girls are Emma's age and Em and Lil have been having so much fun getting to know their new friends. Fort Bliss is an amazing post as it's being built up to support lots of newly arriving soldiers and their families. Our home is a very sweet 3 1/2 bedroom house and we can't wait to have our things here to fill it and make it OUR home. A few things will change: the big girls will have bunk beds, all three girls will share a room (YIKES!!! well, maybe they will, we're staying flexible about that) and we may add a canine companion to our roster, Daddy will be working a lot more and Emma will start full time Kindergarten in a few weeks. It will be different, but we're ready for the blessings and challenges that are coming our way - Mission Moris El Paso is rolling! We are excited to learn all about El Paso, what makes it special and how we can leave our special marks!! Gotta run and make our airmattresses :-) Have a great day all!!!
Watch out El Paso, the Moris' are here to stay!!!

  2. OMG! I can hardly wait to come and visit. You know that is my home-town Heather so I can give you the scoop. One bit of advice, go eat at KiKi's Mexican Food Restaurant; then Lucy's on N. Mesa, then Avila's on N. Mesa; then the Riviera on Doniphan; then the Hacienda on Paisano; then J&J's on Doniphan; then there's the Mexican Elder also in Coronado; OMG what memories I have. I love to visit. Miss my friends, family, Mexican food and the Mountain. There is great hiking in the Guadalupe Mountains as well McKitrick Canyon where you can see the colors change. And you know you are only 2.5 hours away from Ruidoso NM where you can take the girls, and John snow skiing.....day trip! Drink lots of water to stay hydrated, especially helpful believe it or not in the winter time. The cold is much more forgiving in the desert but it still dries your skin out. You know there is a rumor that the reason they have such a "manana" attitude is there is lithium in the water...google it, it's true. Loving you and love your blog. Wish to see you. Brenden is coming to Central Texas next week for 3 whole weeks. Have a blessed holiday. Leanne <>< Call me anytime 254-722-5464. Open for suggestions.
